Philippians Chapter 4

CHAPTER 4

Lord, help me to see those people I work amongst as my joy, my crown.
Give me a deep love & longing for them Lord.

Taking into account how powerful You are Lord, help me to stand fast in Your power.

May all my brethren be of the same mind in You Lord.
May I always be a help to those who labour in the Gospel, fellow workers. And Lord, may their names always be in the book of life.

I rejoice in You Lord, aways. Again I will say it: I rejoice in You Lord!

Help me to be gentle to all men. Be at hand Lord.

May I never be anxious, instead, remind me to pray & petition God with my requests & remind me to always be thankful.

May Your peace Lord God, which is beyond all understanding, Guard my heart & mind through Christ Jesus.

Lord, whatever things are true; whatever things are noble; whatever things are just; whatever things pure; whatever things are lovely; whatever things are of a good report, anything of virtue & that is praiseworthy; help me to meditate on these things.

Help me to receive teaching, to hear what others have to say, to follow good examples so that You, my God of peace, will be with me.

Lord keep my care for others flourishing.
Help me to always be content no matter what state or circumstance I may be in.

I have known plenty & I have known poverty; help me to be content whether I am well fed or hungry; give me the strength to cope & deal with all things, through Christ.

May I always be available to share the troubles & distress of other believers.
May I always be prepared & able, as a member of Your Church, to share, to give & to receive with other believers.
May I always be prepared to send aid, no matter how many times & no matter how far.
Thank You that such gifts are credited to my account.

Lord, help me to be generous in this so that those with needs may be full & abound.
May my gifts to others be a sweet smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to You God.

God, as I willingly & freely do these things, please will You supply all my need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Now to You, my God & Father, be glory forever & ever.
May I always be ready to greet every saint n Christ Jesus.
Lord Jesus, let Your grace be with all of us.

AMEN!

Philippians Chapter 3

CHAPTER 3

Lord, I rejoice because I am in You.

Thank You for Your written word; may it never be tedious but rather a safe guard for me.

Protect me & may I be wary of the ‘dogs’, evil people who promote legalism.

Thank You that I am legally correct; that I can worship You God, in the Spirit; I can rejoice in Christ Jesus & may I never have confidence in my self, only in Jesus, no matter what my ‘earthly’ qualifications or status may be.

I don’t care how well educated I think I am, what bible college degree I have, what job or profession I have, nor how seemingly religious I appear to be. Lord, I count all these things, no matter how advantageous they seem to be, as nothing in relation to You.

In fact, everything is worthless when compared to the greatness of having a relationship, an intimate relationship with You my Lord Jesus.

For the sake of that relationship, I am prepared to lose everything else, to treat them as rubbish so that I can rather focus on & get to know You more Lord Jesus. That I can be found in You, not by my own religious acts, but by the right standing with God, through faith in Christ which also comes from God, by faith.

I want to really now You Jesus, to have an intimate relationship with You, to know the power of Your resurrection, to know fellowship in Your suffering, to become like You in Your death, so that by any means I will somehow attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Lord, help me to attain this,to be perfected, to press on, that I may lay hold of that for which You also laid hold of me.

Lord, I don’t consider myself to have hold of it yet, so help me to do this one thing: to forget the past & to reach forward to those things which are ahead, to press toward the goal for the prize of the upward calling of God, in You, Lord Jesus Christ.

Lord, help me to be mature & to keep this in mind. If my mind does drift, then God, please clear my mind & set me back on track.

However Lord, let me not forget lessons I have already learnt & let me continue to apply those truths together with the universal truths that we all follow & apply.

Lord, let me never be too proud or self-assured that I would not see other Godly persons as good examples to follow & imitate.

Help me in this: to discern Christ like folk from enemies of the cross.
Help me & protect me from ever becoming an enemy of the cross of Christ with destruction being my destiny, my belly my god & taking glory in what is really shameful.
Let me never set my mind on earthly things.

Thank You that my citizenship is in heaven, from which I eagerly await You, my Saviour, Lord Jesus Christ.

Come & transform my lowly body, that it may be conformed to Your glorious body, in the same way that You are able to subdue all things to Yourself.

Philippians Chapter 2

CHAPTER 2

Lord I thank You for the consolation & encouragement I have in Jesus; thank You for the comfort I find in His love; thank You for the fellowship of the Spirit; thank You for all the affection, tenderness, mercy & compassion I receive from & in Jesus.

Let me, by Your help, be this way toward others, to love them like You do, to be united with them in spirit & purpose as we follow You.

Lord keep me from selfish ambition & vain conceit; let me humbly consider others better than myself.

Lord, I need to look after my own interests but may I never forget to also look after the interests of others as well.

Lord Jesus, as You live through me, I want Your attitude as well. Although You were in the form of God, You did not consider that as something to be grasped, instead You lowered Yourself, took the form of a servant & human like, appearing to be a man, You humbled Yourself & became obedient to death, even the death of the cross.
As a result, God exalted You highly & gave You the name that is above every name, that at Your name Jesus, every knee should bow, all those in heaven, all those on earth & all those under the earth. I bow my knee to You Lord Jesus.
And every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. I confess Your Lordship Jesus.

Help me to work out my salvation Lord, not just when others are looking.
God give me both the will & the corresponding actions to do Your good pleasure.
May I do all things without complaining or arguments.

I want to be Your child God, blameless, harmless & pure, without fault in this crooked & perverse world, shining as a light to the world, holding firmly onto & living out the word of life – so that people who have gone through so much on our behalf, would not have endured what they did for nothing.
Lord help me & strengthen me so that I may give them reason to rejoice despite their hardship.

May we all be an encouragement to one another as we share our progress in You with one another.

May we be like minded & sincerely take care for each other.
May I not be self seeking but rather seek the things of Christ.

May I have proven my character in serving the Gospel.

Let me be a brother to others, a fellow worker & fellow soldier, a messenger, one who ministers to others needs, with a longing for fellowship.

Lord, I pray for fellow labourers, more specifically for those who are sick; God have mercy on them & restore them.

Lord, when other believers visit, may I receive them with gladness, giving them honour.

Lord Jesus, in Your service, may I never value my life over helping others.
